Family, Marriage, And Gender Roles :: Sociology, Family Values

Family, Marriage, and Gender Roles      At the center of American characters and American dreams lies a family. All through time, families fill in as an association between the individual and the outside world. The person's character, their fantasies, in enormous part rely upon the group of birthplace or a group of decision. The individual is molded through convictions, qualities, and suspicions that the family holds about the world also, that depend on relative's encounters and aggregate memory. The family itself, thus gets its qualities from the social, social, political, what's more, philosophical suppositions and convictions of the bigger, and progressively prevailing culture.      In the present current society, suppositions with respect to a family can be very across the board. Going from the traditionalist perspective to the more liberal view. The moderate is the more customary perspective on the two. Accepting that the just evident family is the joint relationship of a spouse, wife, and youngsters is a relic of days gone by. As of late a disturbing number of horrible circumstances have emerged. These circumstances extend from one-parent families to the strange circumstance of two accomplices of a similar sex. What befalls a general public where the family unit is not, at this point the prevailing arrangement? The truth will surface eventually.      Being raised in a customary situation, I have traditionalist sees on the idea of a family. At the point when I was youthful, my Mother didn't work. She would remain at home with me until I was around thirteen years of age. I feel that, if conceivable, a mother should remain at home with her kids. In my eyes, the fundamental duty of a Mother is to outfit her kids with so a lot consideration as could be expected under the circumstances. Without the fundamental consideration the kid will grow up taking a stab at consideration, and will do everything in their capacity to get it. In the model family unit, the Father is the person who is mindful for acquiring a generous living. Accommodating the family: a home, food, and a conviction that all is good; the Father is a significant factor in the up bringing of a family. Tragically, numerous families don't have the advantage of a family unit. They should get by on their persistence, alongside a smidgen of karma along the way.      In our reading material, Moser and Waters precisely portray the fundamentals of family esteems. The one exposition that appears to help my own arrangement of qualities is the one entitled Reserve Marriage for Heterosexuals. I feel that a family has nothing to pick up by permitting gay people to receive youngsters and start their own families. The article delineates that kids that are raised without a Mother and

Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs within Lord of the Flies Essay

Abraham Maslow planned a hypothesis of a pecking order of necessities, expressing that he accepted that individuals are propelled by unsatisfied or fragmented requirements. In his hypothesis there are five degrees of specific needs wherein lower needs should be fulfilled before higher requirements can be accomplished. The five needs are physiological, security, love, regard, and self-realization. Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs applies to huge numbers of the characters in Lord of the Flies, for example, Piggy, Ralph, and Jack, and shows how they are influenced when their needs are unsatisfied. The most reduced and fundamental need of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs is physiological requirements, which are the need of air, water, food, rest, and safe house. All through the novel, most of the young men procured the entirety of their physiological needs. There were three safe houses worked of tree limbs, logs, and leaves. The young men dozed in the havens around evening time for warmth and a feeling of home. A considerable lot of the more youthful young men chomped on the natural products they picked in the wilderness and everybody ate broiled pig which Jack and his trackers butchered occasionally. The young men likewise topped off coconut shells with water and put them under trees and in the shade of the wilderness to be chilled and drank when important. Since the young men eased their physiological needs, they had the option to consider different necessities, for example, security. The second need of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs is the need for security, which is insurance and keeping up prosperity while making strength in a tumultuous world. One of Ralph’s first senses was to keep up security via looking and investigating the island with Jack and Simon for any person or thing who might represent a danger to their prosperity while occupying the island. Additionally, Piggy and Ralph discover a conch in the water on the island. The conch was blown as a sign to tell the other lost young men where they were, which alludes to Maslow’s need of wellbeing since this would not have been done if the children didn't have a sense of security. In the event that Ralph and Piggy felt that they were sheltered and secured, they would have stayed silent and to themselves and they would not have been found. Another way the young men picked up the need of wellbeing is by building the cabins on the sea shore as a type of insurance which acted like aâ house, and certainly caused the more youthful and progressively juvenile young men to feel significantly more secure. Despite the fact that numerous occupations were finished to make sure about the young men wellbeing, a considerable lot of the young men despite everything felt dangerous, this brought about a gigantic predicament. One evening during a get together one of the young men recounted to the anecdote about how he saw a mammoth in the backwoods. A large number of the more youthful young men are having bad dreams about this story, and are watching their backs while in the woodlands. On page 36, Ralph says, â€Å"But there isn’t a beastie,† more than once yet his endeavors to expel the anxiety and dread inside the littluns end up being vain. Since practically the entirety of the little fellows were consistently terrified of a mammoth or a beast, their need of security was never accomplished, they couldn't arrive at different necessities higher on Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, so their lives on the island were fragmented, and they all lived in dread and nervousness. The third need of Maslow’s hypothesis is the need of affection and belongingness, or the acknowledgment of others and the should be required. Due to Piggy’s past of being disparaged and ridiculed in his old fashioned, his first drive was to attempt to make companions and be acknowledged from the get-go in the novel. When Piggy ran into Ralph he asked him his name and attempted to become companions with him. Ralph says to Piggy, â€Å"Get my clothes,† on page 14, which demonstrates that Piggy is eager to be a worker to make a companion or colleague. It appears that Piggy had just satisfied the initial two needs, and now he needs to fit in with Ralph. Another model is when Ralph blew the conch the entirety of different children came and they had a gathering. â€Å"Signs of life were presently obvious on the sea shore. The sand, trembling underneath the warmth fog, disguised numerous figures in its miles of length; young men were advancing to the stage through the hot, moronic sand.† (18) All of the young men went to the gathering and took an interest in the gathering, which demonstrated that they all needed to have a place. In the event that they would not like to have a place, they would have remained off without anyone else or not have participate on the gathering. The entirety of the principle characters accomplished this need, in spite of the fact that Jack was discontent with his job in the gathering and was attempting to discover methods of increasing more regard all through the novel. The fourth need of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs is regard, which is the authority of an assignment and furthermore accepting consideration and acknowledgment from others, or the requirement for power. A prime case of this need being satisfied is when Jack structures his own clan and made him self the pioneer since he was power hungry, but since he was unable to stand the reality the Ralph was picked boss and was getting all the consideration. Jack additionally discovered something that he was gifted at. His aptitude was chasing. Jack utilized his aptitude and thought that it was significant to prevail upon different children on the island to collect another gathering and make him its pioneer. After some time and much clash Jack had each individual on the island under his order or killed them. The main exemption to this was Ralph who barely avoided a comparable destiny. Piggy never accomplishes the objective of regard since he isn't acknowledged for his insight and astuteness which he offers the young men in the midst of hardship. Since Piggy never surpassed this need, his character endured and he has a frail character, and was handily tormented and pushed around. Simon, another primary character, never accomplished the need of regard. Huge numbers of the young men thought Simon was irregular and clandestine, and he is continually mocked unobtrusively, generally despite his good faith. For instance, on page 74, â€Å"Ralph blended precariously. Simon sitting between the two twins and Piggy, cleaned his mouth and pushed his bit of meat over the stones to Piggy, who got it. The twins laughed and Simon brought down his head in shame.† This entry shows that in any event, when Simon was carrying out beneficial things he was not praised and didn't get acknowledgment for a large number of his unselfish activities. Neither Simon nor Piggy at any poin t accomplished the requirement for regard, and unintentionally, they were likewise pariahs and were the main two young men killed on the island. The fifth and last need is simply the need completion, which is, â€Å"the want to turn out to be increasingly more what one is, to become everything that is equipped for becoming.† Self-realization didn't legitimately happen inside the young men on the island, however Ralph appeared to turn out to be extremely close. â€Å"Ralph took a gander at him moronically. For a second he had a transient image of the odd marvelousness that had once contributed the sea shores. Be that as it may, the island was singed up like dead wood-Simon was dead-and Jack had†¦. The tears started to stream and cries shook him. He surrendered himself to them now just because on the island; incredible shivering fits of misery that appeared to torque his entire body. His voice rose under the dark smoke before the consuming destruction if the island; and tainted by that feeling, the other young men started to shake and cry as well. Also, in the center of them, with foul body, tangled hair, unwiped nose, Ralph sobbed fir the finish of honesty, the dimness of a man’s heart, and the fall through the quality of the valid, savvy companion called piggy.† (202) This huge section shows Ralph separating and indicating his actual feelings and what he feels inside. Ralph acknowledges he had the ability to make the young men remain on the island a significantly less fierce and considerably more charming, yet he didn't utilize his capacity effectively and he was toppled, which lead to the demise of two honest youngsters. This is a kind of self-completion in light of the fact that Ralph acknowledged what he could have been, stated, and done. Ralph understood that he didn't satisfy his extraordinary potential and could have been everything he could be on the island however didn't make the most of this chance. Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs best shows what happened on the island in Lord of the Flies. It additionally demonstrates why a significant number of the acted the manner in which they did. In Lord of the Flies, disarray and brutality was incredibly pertinent inside the gathering of young men not just on account of contrasting qualities and clashing perspectives, yet in addition in light of the fact that a large number of the young men needs were being disregarded during there remain on the island.

First, there was a little girl who could talk and she talked to anyone. Sh e was able to converse with her grandfather about anything and everything. This is very rare and is one of the most fascinating things about this little girl. If you learn a lot from this little story, it will surely be a treasure that will last you a lifetime.Next, we will consider a very small group of children in a New Zealand public school. These kids learned a great deal about 'Kiwi.' They were encouraged to learn how to use their words correctly, when to join the 'I' and when to use 'we.' Strategies for Successful Implementation Public Personnel Management

Question: Strategies for Successful Implementation for Public Personnel Management? Answer: Difference between personnel and human resource management Human resource management is the new version of personnel management. Personnel management is a conventional way of managing people while human resource management is the modern approach as people are the main strength of an organisation . The main focus of personnel management is the personnel administration, labour relation, and employee welfare. But human resource management mainly focuses on the training and development, acquisition, maintenance and motivation of the human resource of the organisation (Zafar, 2013). In the basic division of labour, the job design is done by the personnel management. In human resource management, the job designing is done by a group or team. In personnel management, the employees are provided with less training opportunities. But in the case of human resource management before allocating the position the employees has to go through a training session. People are assumed as the input, and their achievements are desired as the output in personnel ma nagement whereas in the human resource management assumes their employees as their important and valuable resources for achieving the required output for the organisation. In the case of personnel management, all the decisions are made by the top management according to the rules of the organisation. But for the human resource department all the decisions are made collectively considering the participation, ability, and environment of the employees. Assessing the function of human resource management in contributing to the organisation al purposes There are various functions that help in accessing the contribution of human resource management in the organisation - Recruitment and Selection is one of the most important functions of human resource management as it requires careful planning. When a job recruiter recruits an employee they judge the interviewee as they will be beneficial for the organisation or not. Most of the organisation s purchase talent management and recruitment software for managing their selection and recruitment process efficiently (Shen, 2011). Training and development- This helps the employees to understand the working structure of the organisation. With training, the employees will get to know about the rules and regulations of the organisation and also the internal environment. Reward System- With this process the senior management motivates their employees to give their best. This will motivate the employees to give the best in the organisation, and it will also motivate other employees who are lacking behind in their performance (Pugh and Subramony, 2015). Performance Appraisal- Apart from reward system the performance appraisal also helps and motivates the employees to give their best in their work. When the employees perform remarkably in their job, then the senior management will promote them with much more responsibilities. Employee Relation is one of the major functions of human resource management. If the relation between the employees and also with the senior management is not cordial, then the work will get affected. So, the human resource department will have to make sure that the relation with the employees is good and pleasant, and they are not facing any problems in their work. Evaluating the role and responsibilities of the line managers Line managers are those managers who have a direct relationship with both the employees and also with the senior managers. Their main responsibilities are to manage directly the individual employees and also the teams. The line managers directly report to the senior management of the organisation about the well- being and performance of the employees. The main responsibilities of line managers are managing people daily, allocating the work to the employees, dealing with the clients, measurement of the operational performance, monitoring and checking the quality of the work. They set a reasonable time frame so that they improve the work that is allocated to the employees. They identify the issues that are creating the problem for the underperformance of the employees (Manroop, Singh, and Ezzedeen, 2014). It is the duty of a line manager to implement the day to day HR initiatives. Line managers are responsible to plan the aims, objectives and priorities of the task and communicate that task within his follower and colleagues. The major role and responsibilities that line managers have to perform in HR management are discussed below: Employee Engagement The most critical factor of any line managers HR activities is engaging the employees in the organisation. Line manager creates a pleasant work environment within the organisation so that employees become more dedicated to work in achieving the organisational goal (Southall, 2014). Performance Appraisal Although the process of performance appraisal is designed by the HR specialist, it is ultimately implemented by the line managers. Performance and behavior of the employees are directly assessed and rated by the line managers (Pilbeam and Atherton, 2012). Feedback of the employees is provided through one to one meeting between the line managers and the employees. Disciplining Employees Line managers place his expectation through his team in order to retain discipline in the workplace. The expectation is supported by the rule and regulations of the HR department. It is the commitment of the line manager to enforce the rule and regulation for influencing the performance of the employees. The reasons for human resource planning in ITC and IBM: In order to fulfil the manpower requirements, the human resource planning is necessary for every organisation . The business strategy and the operations are linked with human resource planning process (Hoch and Dulebohn, 2013). There are several reasons behind for human resource planning in ITC. Those are following: Forecasting future manpower needs: In order to forecast the future manpower needs, ITC needs to plan its human resources in the initial stage. It is the very significant process to achieve the organisational objectives in the long-run. In the manufacturing sector like ITC, it has different manpower needs. The human resource managers collect the information from the factory line managers how many people would be required for a particular factory. In the case of IBM, the estimation of the people will be done based on the requirements of the outsourced activities (Ivancevich and Konopaske, 2013). Coping with change: Various external factors that influence the planning process of the organisation. Through HR inventory the current human resource plans to mitigate the external factors (technological, socio-cultural, political, economic forces) to cope with the changes. ITC developed some strategies like hire experienced and effective people to cope with the changes. On the other hand, IBM also hires people who are capable enough to do the required activities (Guo and Al Ariss, 2015). Recruiting experienced people: Both IBM and ITC hires experienced people in order to achieve the organisational objectives in the long-run. Restructuring work processes: Identify training needs: The training requirements needs to be identified so that it can be developed over time. By giving the proper training to the employees, the organisation can increase its performances in the long-run. Coping with retirement and redundancy: The attrition rate of IBM is very high as compared to ITC. After the retirement of people, the vacancy needs to be filling up. In the market the redundancy is increasing day by day. Thus, numerous applications are piling up in the HR inventory. From that application, the efficient people need to be chosen by the human resource manager. So that it will help to increase the performance of the organisation s (Gruman and Saks, 2011). Development of human resources: For developing the personnel in the organisation both ITC and IBM conduct training sessions. By giving the proper training and conducting the development campaigns, the skills of the personnel will be increased. The organisation gives this type of training to their employees so that they can perform better. Stages in planning human resource requirements: Assessing human resources Both the organisation ITC and IBM needs to assess the internal and external factors to analyse the current requirements. After knowing the strengths and weaknesses of the organisation, it will be easy to assess the future needs (Dries, 2013). The goals to be achieved in near future in all the field of the organisation will give an idea of the work load to be done by the workforce. Demand forecasting The demand and supply of human resource in the organisation are defined as the process of demand forecasting. In order to achieve the desired level of output, the demand forecasting process is done to convene the future personnel requirements of the organisation s. The required number of human resource in different field should be estimated for proper human resource management. Supply forecasting Due to the increasing demand for the organisation the future employee needs to be required to handle the responsibilities. From various sources the employees hired by the HR managers of the organisation. In supply forecasting the organisation analyses the HR inventory and keep track of existing employees for determining the extent to which it can meet the forecast (Supriyanto, 2015). A proper matching of job description and job specification should be there in the organisation and employees to be involved in the job should be suitable. Matching demand and supply The organisation needs to see whether the matching demand and supply meet the forecasting future needs. The shortage and overstaffing issues can be solved by bringing the demand and supply in an equilibrium position. Action plan In order to avoid the shortage and surplus of human resource a proper action plan is required to develop by both ITC and IBM (Dowling, Festing, and Engle, 2013). Comparison of recruitment and selection process in two companies: The first company chosen is IBM. The process of selection is described below: Stage 1: Attraction: There must be requirements for people. After the requirement is established comes the process of job analysis, writing up job descriptions and job specifications. Job analysis looks that how each job fits into the organisation. The competency framework is an alternative approach. The various recruitment methods are as follows: Internal methods: Internal promotions, transfers, job rotation schemes External methods: Outplacement consultants, headhunters, employment agencies Stage 2: Reduction: The application forms are observed, scrutinized, and most of them are rejected on grounds of not matching with the requirements (Park, 2014). This screening process must be done with utmost care and precision. Stage 3: Selection: There are lots of aptitude tests that are taken in the present day scenario. These tests are specially designed to test the aptitude and ability of the candidates. After the short listing is done through tests, arrangements are made for interviews. These interviews are taken by experts who hold sufficient experience in the relevant areas. After the final selection is done, job offers are made to the deserving candidates. Stage 4: Transition: The selected candidates must go through a process of induction in order to get familiarized with the environment. The transition process allows a candidate to socialize with the new environment. Selection process in ITC: Stage1: Attraction As ITC is now the top most FMCG Company so the attraction process in very specific in this company. The human resource manager make a very specific looks on what type of candidate would be needed for what type of job. For recruiting purpose the use three types of sources as mentioned below: Internal Recruitment Internal recruitment in ITC is done by job posting. If an employee seems to be very good in one field he can be posted in any of its branch where he is suitable. References are taken in order to be sanguine about the work (Oskina, 2015). These serve as authentication about the work. If a job is more authenticated, it gives better results. Transfer is another form of internal recruitment where the organisation tries to hire experienced employee in the vacant position by shifting employees from one place to another. External Recruitment Among the external recruitment of ITC the more popular process is job posting in online job sites, College campusing, Head haunting. Third party Recruitment ITC sometimes leaves the responsibility of recruiting on a third party consultancy. Stage 2: Reduction No candidate is allowed in ITC without a qualification degree from a reputed university. The short listings of the various candidates are done by screening (Park and Word, 2012). . The application forms are observed by the human resource manager very carefully. Many candidates become disqualified without a proper experience and skills needed for the job. Stage 3: Selection Unlike IBM, in ITC a written test is arranged for analyzing the skills of a candidate in details. Only after qualifying the written test the candidate become eligible to give interview. The interview held in ITC is competency based. Stage 4: Transition In ITC a Roster is maintained where the names of suitable candidates are listed after interview. The organisation sends an email to the candidate listed in the Roster whom they think most suitable for the job (Omole, 2015). After joining of the candidate the organisation arranges an interesting induction process where the new employees get familiar with the organisation. Technical knowledge assessment: The knowledge of the candidates is assessed nicely by the aid of tests and interview. Effectiveness of recruitment processes of two organisation s: The selection process in IBM is full proof compared with ITC. The references are however taken in ITC. The tests that are taken to evaluate a candidate are much well organized in IBM compared to ITC. If we take into account all the aspects, IBM is better organized than ITC as far as recruitment is concerned. When a recruitment process goes through a number of phases, it becomes better. More and more screening is needed (Sun, 2014). This always has longer time when the screening stages are more (Deadrick and Stone, 2014). Relationship between Motivational theory and reward: The human resource managers of the organisation consider the fact that by using encouraging motivation techniques that support employees to produce more and better quality of work in the long-run. This is defined as a motivational theory. In the organisation, the managers chose those people who are worth praising and have done a good job in the past. This will come as the reward. The main advantage of giving the reward to the employees is to increase the motivation of them. It will help to foster a sense of trust between employee and managers in the organisation. The process of job evaluation: Job analysis The various aspects of the job can be identified through the process of job analysis. In the job analysis, part job description and job specification part are included (Collings, Scullion, and Vaiman, 2015). Job Description In order to indicate the duties and responsibilities a proper job description is given to the employees of the organisation. The job entails being described in the job description part. Job specification The required skills and knowledge that is needed for a specific job are included in the job specification part (Dessler, 2013). Job rating In order to assign a relative worth for each job the job description and job specification methods needs to be used. Money location A pay structure is determined for each employee in the organisation based on their capability. Job classification According to the pay structure of the employees the job categorization will be done by the HR manager. Other factors determining pay: There are several factors that determine the structure in the organisation. Those are cost of living, government legislation, supply and demand and productivity (Byars, 2015). Cost of living Cost of living is the most important factors that influence the wage and salary structure of the employees. The approach of cost of living tends to vary the salary structure depending on the variation in the index of cost of living. Cost of living index follows the rise and falls of general and consumer price index. Government Legislation Law and labour policies passed by the government have a great influence on the wage and salary structure of the employees. Salaries and wages cannot be lower than that prescribed by the government (Chemmanur, Cheng and Zhang, 2013). The laws like minimum wage, equal pay for equal work, dearness allowance and hours of work is enacted by the government for ensuring fair wage and salary structure in the organisation. Supply and Demand Supply and Demand of employees influences the wage and salary structure to a great extent. If the supply of employees decreases then salary for the job will be increased (Pohler and Schmidt, 2015). On the other hand if the supply of employees increases then salary and wage will be decreased. Productivity Increasing trend of productivity in the organisation ultimately increases the salary and wage of the employees. High wages in a low cost is only possible when productivity of the organisation appreciable. Effectiveness of reward system in different context: In another context like recreation in labour intensive industry, managers can use the reward system to improve the employee motivation and retention. In order to increase the performance of the employee, the managers need to develop some strategies. The performance of employees needs to be monitor periodically so that after a certain period the employee will get a reward based on their performance in the organisation. The reward can be given to the employees as monetary reward, reduced workweek, flex time, working from home, membership reward, etc. This main responsibility of the recreation manager is to motivate the employees in the organisation by giving them different rewards based on their performances. Due to increasing work pressure it will be very difficult to retain the employees in the organisation. Thus giving the reward to the employees is the help to increase the effectiveness of business activities in the organisation (Brown and Warren, 2011). Methods to monitor employee performance: Performance Reviews In order to track the performance of the employee in the organisation review sheets needs to be maintained by the managers of the organisation. In review sheets customer complaints, interpersonal skills to error rates all are included. With the help of this review sheet, the growth of the employee can be determined. Peer appraisals Regarding the co-workers performance the peers always have an opinion. In the database of the organisation, the appraisals can be stored for several times. In order to identify favourable or unfavourable patterns of behaviour, the HR managers use this reporting data. Dashboards In order to track the performance of the many employee organisation s are using standardized dashboards. The dashboard consist different varieties of metrics that helps to identify the success factors of the organisation. Voice of the customer In terms of quality assurance the voice of the customer is taking into consideration by many organisation s (Brookes et al., 2011). Reasons for cessation of employment within an organisation : Cessation of employment in an organisation may have the following reasons: Family obligations: If a person is head of the family, he has got a lot of obligations. These obligations restrain a person from rendering all duties (Arbon, Facer, and Wadsworth, 2012). Obligations may be of various types including financial and nonfinancial. Medical ground: A person may be sick on various grounds. If he is sick, he would not be able to continue the job. Employment can be ended for health reasons. These reasons are out of control. Death: If a person dies, his employment finishes then and there. Retirement age: In most offices, the retirement age is 58.On attaining this age, the employment finishes. Unsatisfactory working conditions: The working conditions may not be good. Especially in a factory, the lighting, heating, and humidification may not be satisfactory (Baxter, 2012). Unfair treatment: The management may not treat a person well. This would lead to dissatisfaction on the part of the employee. Better opportunities: If a person gets a better opportunity elsewhere, he would be leaving his current job. Better opportunities always attract young people as well as experienced people. Inappropriate management style: The style of management meted out to the employees may not be proper. Low job security: A job having low job security is not attractive to the employees. Employees are always on the lookout for better job security. Employment exit procedures with two companies: The two companies chosen are ITC and IBM. Exit procedure with ITC: The following steps may be followed during exit of an employee in ITC: -A resignation letter duly signed by the resigning employee is deposited with the line manager. -The HR department writes to the employee that an exit interview has been arranged, and he needs to attend it (Bissessar, 2012). -A confirmation of service form is sent to the employee to fill and return. -The exit interview is conducted in strict confidence. The company tries to determine what exactly the reason is for an employee leaving a company. Whether the reasons are within the control of the company to be rectified or not within the control must be seen. Exit procedure with IBM: The following steps are followed during exit of an employee in IBM: -There must be a resignation letter duly signed by the employee. There must be indications to serve a notice period of one month from the date of depositing the letter. -The employee is notified about the exit interview he needs to attend by HR. -The exit interview is held in strict confidence. The common questions are the reasons for leaving and what he liked the most and disliked the most (Jordan and Battaglio, 2013). Impact of legal and regulatory framework on HRM and Employment Cessation Arrangement: Employment legislations mainly deal with laws that help them to maintain the smooth relationship between the employer and the employees. Laws used by the human resource department in an organisation are the Equal pay Act 1970, National minimum wage rate act 1998, Employment rights act 1996. All this laws are implemented in the organisation so that there is no discrimination within the employees and there is no tension with the organisational environment (Perez, 2015). The human resource department makes a legal framework so that they can keep a check that all the laws are being followed. If any of them is not followed, then strict actions are taken against that employee. According to the Employment Right Act 1996, both the employer and the employee have to give notice in advance according to the contract of employment or according to the law of termination. The law places liability of employers to pay according to law. The working hours must be fixed to a maximum so that nobody is overworked. According to the Equal Opportunity Act, men and women must get equal opportunities in the workplace. The pay must be equitable and fair. There must be a minimum payment for all workers whatever the levels of occupation be. There is an obligation on employers to pay in full for absences in duty due to sickness or accidents (Kim, 2012). According to the Anti-Discrimination Act, there must be no discrimination on grounds of age, sex, color or language. Everybody must have equal rights. Discrimination must be totally stopped due to bad response. There are laws in Britain, which force employers to be on control and employ suitable rules in the workplace. According to personal injury rule 1972, the employees of the organisation should be insured against ant personal injuries. In this case the employees should follow some instructions regarding the safety measures in the organisation (Gibbons, 2015). Despite of maintaining all the safety measures if any employee gets injured then that employee should be paid full wages in his absence and should be paid according to the insurance policy. According to the Employment Standard Act 2000, no employee can be terminated with a prior notice to them from the employer (Perez, 2015). The employees worked for 8 years should be noticed 8 weeks prior to his termination and an employee worked for less than 1 year should be noticed at least 1 week prior to their his termination. According to the Maternity Benefit Act 1961, the employer should allow absence to the employee during maternity leave and that would be under statute. No employees can leave the job during this period without a valid reason and also no employer can terminate an employees without a valid and reason notice. I once saw an online chat between someone who did a biology essay on the bird species in a bird feeder that was built in Minnesota. They looked at the bird species living in a bird feeder in a city in Minnesota. A few of the things that this person wanted to know were how many people feed the birds, where the birds come from, what the birds eat, wh at the weather is like and if there are predators that they need to keep out. They also learned that there are different types of bird feeders. The majority of bird feeders are glass and not too heavy to handle.Another interesting topic was the specific chemistry that exists between birds and humans. There is much speculation and doubt in this area, but science does not rule out that some reason that humans and birds may interact is that birds have the ability to tell if you are sick or not. It is possible that this helps them to stay with you and take care of you because they can detect your state of health. If you research this in more depth, you will find that there are more than one dozen studies that have found chemicals that birds can sense from humans. I once found out about a study that found that the birds had found the essential proteins in the body of a dead whale that washed up on the shore. The next time you see a dead whale on the beach, look closely and you will see i f it has bones attached to it. If it does, it has part of the whale's body in its stomach. That is the same protein that is found in human beings and was found in the bones of the whale. The first thing that you should do is remember that these are some of the most important points in all of biology. When the commonwealth and Cromwell died off the family exited exile and this allowed Charles II to regain his throne. Sir William Penn was knighted for his devotion to the Stuart monarchy. This helps shape William Penn Jar. s interests in the family reputation and makes him feel like he is a part of it, as his father wanted. On arriving at Oxford he was unlike all the other attendants which worried his father. Then he became acquainted with dissenters of the university and immediately knew these were the people he fit in with. This was one example of Peens early conversion to Quakerism without knowing yet. Then his father retired causing him to settle down and become more in touch with his son again. He sent young William Penn off to law school to learn law in the hopes he would gain friends in high places for the future while finishing his education. William Penn Jar. As soon then placed into local politics by his ether and held a commissioner job for helping out down on their luck people, a sort of welfare. This job reinforced his likening of the Quaker faith as they helped people without reason while being persecuted, which William Penn Jar. Witnessed during his less than a year work. William Penn Sir. Then sent his son to Ireland to settle legalities of his new land that was a result of Irish Royalists taking back their old estate. He inadvertently was finally convinced to be a Quaker during a visit to Cork. Even after his personal persecution by Quakerism, he stood stalwart to his new faith.William Penn Jar. Became a Quaker when it was at the worse time to become one. With the laws set forth to conform everyone to Anglicanism, Quakers went like Iambs to the slaughter because of their clear defiance of the law. Fortunately for William Penn Jar. His incarcerations were brief because of his political standing and being the son of Admiral Penn. But William Penn Jar. Was steadfast in his beliefs of Quakerism and this cost him later in his religious affairs. Upon William Penn Jar. Release he was well known spokesperson and writer of the Quaker movement. Many praised him for his zealous, nonconformist visage. He then went on to write a pamphlet (or apology), that was to prove Quaker beliefs and motives, and their reasoning behind them. Even with William Penn Jar. s fantastic writing skills and logic, the pamphlet was discredited and condemned by the masses, and young Penn was incarcerated in The Tower. His stay lasted shy of 9 months and during this time he wrote another pamphlet which was his ultimate piece upon release, it contained more than 600 pages. But his untimely release was only met because of his conformity to his beliefs on the trinity which he refuted in his earlier intending pamphlet. He wrote a apology for his beliefs on Jesus Christ the savior and was released by the king because of it. It isnt really to say whether or not William Penn Jar. Really believed in what he wrote in that apology for a good period of his life. Within a Year of Young William Peens release, William Penn Sir. Had passed away. William Penn after departing for a sidestep to see Gull his future wife, stayed an extra 4 days because of Gull and this marked the start of their soon to be marriage. Although this was postponed 3 years because of William Peens work that needed to be finished for his father in Ireland.Penn worked hard to obtain the release of captive Quakers in prison during his visit to Ireland. His fathers affairs came after his Quaker faith during his arrival in Ireland. He persistently attempted to gain release while having knowledge of The Courts ways to help his cause. Peens hard work bayed off and his friends were released from prisons via Peens invaluable skills of politics, persuasion, and influence on the Stuart Court and Brokers of the Court. After his Quaker escapades, William Penn Jar. Immediately attended to his fathers errands which majority were good and serving a good job for William Penn Sir.But his fathers health was failing and William Penn Jar. Soon rushed home to England upon receiving a scary letter from his mother. He left his advisor in charge of the Irish affairs that he had brought with him. In retaliation of the great George Foxs arrest for preaching in a public place, William Penn Jar. Could not sit idle and let his friends be persecuted against, so he began to speak in the same place as Fox and was immediately arrested and brought forth to the same man Fox was judged by, but he was not so forgiving as he as to Fox.It could have been jealousy, or to prove his loyalty, but whatever the case, young Penn was to be sent to a terrible place of foul stench. Fortunately for Penn and his comrade, a clause in the law allowed for a trial by jury. Peens trial was lasted four days and was one Of the most famous trials in all of English law history. The court officials were so poor in their character and were so illegal that went the verdict was said to be not guilty, the jurors were sentenced fines until either they had the right verdict or they paid the fines. They all refused to pay the fines as well as William Penn ND his comrade, and were sent to Negate prison, the worst Engla nd had to offer. The majority bayed their fine but the rest were set free after 2 months and sued for their rights against the officials. This was one of the biggest events in English law history and William Penn had no idea at the time. Upon growing apart rapidly and frustratingly, William Peens mother, Lady Penn, died partly because of the fact that Penn was gone so much from his mother. The bond inhibited the two decreased over timer and sadly she pasted and was buried next to William Penn ;s father, William Penn Sir. Again ad, William Penn had to write a letter to Gull and the children of his family, because Penn was leaving for what is named after him, Pennsylvania. He instructed in his letters to raise his kids to be educated unlike himself, with useful skills. He did not want them attending schools like Oxford where he went, because it was full of bad influences. Much like what we see in America, he wanted them to be taught by a tutor in their home that stayed with them. Before embarking on his quest to the colonies, Penn suffered a great loss when his financial correspondent Phillip Ford snuck his way in to Williams sockets by having him sign papers that would come back to haunt him dearly in the future. Peens arrival was a year after the settlement of the colony first started. It was vast but because of religious freedom, was not full of Quakers. The amazing thing was how rapidly Pennsylvania expanded though. Pennsylvania had opportunities no other colony supported, had a chance to become in the upper class off of shear dedication, hard work, and a good socioeconomic plan.Pennsylvania run under William Peens Advertising with good neighboring colonies and trade supplied the colony with maximum efficiency to become one of the fastest growing colonies in the time when making a new colony was the best. Penn was very pro slavery. He owned slaves himself, rationalized why owning slaves was not wrong if all men were created equal, and how it would help him with the friends (Quakers) that had money. Penn ran his estate off of a purely black crew and when anti slavery Quakers cracked down on him, Penn disbanded them, but still kept t-van. O servants until his death which he did not release. Plentiful economic opportunity, divine climate, and semi equal gender division increased Pennsylvania growth immensely. The capital, Philadelphia, was named by two Greek words meaning, brotherly love. This was important because William Penn established a colony off of Quaker idealism and equality for all. William Penn envisioned a city unlike that of London and Paris, and rural towns as well, but of the suburbs we see today. He wanted straight streets, houses with area on each side for gardening and lawns, and it to be symmetrically stable and beautiful.Much to William Peens dismay, Philadelphia by the time Of his death was a disorderly crowded and filthy city, just as any other English port itty. The vast melting pot that became Pennsylvania was unlike that of what Penn first thought of when colonizing Pennsylvania. The ethnic and religious diversity became a big part of Pennsylvania RECIPES. Indians were a key part to Pennsylvania as well as the colony live peacefully with them mainly due to the fact that they less in number from many ailments. Peace agreements and general lack of hostility also attributed to the success of the financial growth and prosperity. Penn treated the Native Americans with respect and for the first time in history showed that the Native Americans were the true owners f the land, and this ultimately proved how much better Pennsylvania was than previous colonies. Sadly with all the success, there was bad news for William Penn. War struck up with France producing numerous amounts of tension filled bouts between Penn and the government. With the illegal trading and William Peens status as high figure of economic and royal importance, the Pennsylvania colony was a priority, giving the agreement excuse to strip William Penn of his land.Because of the colonies Quaker background it was specifically target for defiance and absence in defensive help to England. Penn Fought tooth and nail to keep his land against many people such as Robert Quarry, and the Church of England as well. William Penn was able to produce sufficient argument especially when it came to economics on his behalf to keep his colony under his control inst ead of the unification of the colonies. Upon William Oils untimely death parliament closed the case down, in most ways, William Penn had won. When Robert Quarry was fired and lost his camping, a small victory for William Penn, he attempted to sway the board of trade with a letter to disgust Penn because of his manipulation of them so he could untied his plans in spite of them. This of course was not true and upon Queen Ann.s, the daughter of James II, reign William Penn was happily in the rays of royal favor. With the new government, Penn was supplied with power from many new rulers he had befriended and as a result allowing him to keep his colony. The changing point in Peens fight was that of when William Penn gained and audience with the Queen and Anne allowed him to hold his land for one year without interference from the Lords of Trade. Suspiring to everyone, William Penn after just about a years time offered to ell his right to govern Pennsylvania to The Crown because of his position in life and debt to Philip Ford who had wronged William badly. Penn was also weary of his colonists as they were fighting him in a struggle for many things like paying their rent. The timing was perfect for William Penn to keep hold of his land and the Ideals and lifestyle that he had come to create. Unfortunately William Penn was a poor choice in character and when Hamilton the governor died, Williams replacement was very bad indeed. Peens next replacement after public outcry was a military leader because he ad no choice, he in debtors jail. The Fords had bankrupt him and after many a dispute and some help from the Duke of Marlborough, William Penn exited prison for the last time and bayed his debt off.William Peens family was very large by now and as it happened, they hardly knew William at all. His second wife, Hannah, had seven children, two of which would not make it to adulthood, with William. The son of William Penn, or Billy was more off cavalier like his grandfather, much to the dismay of his father. He did not see Pennsylvania as the Quaker haven but a cash cow to fit his lavished life style. Due to his unruly behavior, he lost his favor with is father and was no longer the heir of Pennsylvania. He did not attend his father at his deathbed in 1718. The colony he original founded had lost its touch and was infected by upper- class superiority. The feeling of community was lost and William had Had enough while searching for a new inheritor. William Penn decided it best to gain monetary value of his colony that had fallen into disarray and offered it to The Crown again for 20,000 pounds. This time the Queen accepted it, although the process was slowed when William Penn had a minor stroke in 1712.
